Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Mridul:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

My journey has been truly wholesome — one of self-discovery, finding my true calling, and building a career that I’m deeply passionate about. It all began with my admission to The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), where I completed my Bachelor’s in Fashion Design.

That decision transformed the way I viewed life. Moving away from home at 17, I learned to build everything from scratch — turning my hostel room into a home, making new friends, exploring a new city, learning new skills, and embracing the beautiful world of fashion.

Amid all these transitions, I discovered something deeper — my passion for leadership and entrepreneurship. That’s when I came across the field of Image Consultancy and Soft Skills Training. The more I researched, the more I realised this was exactly what I was meant to do.

I’ve always believed that effective communication, polished presentation, and strong leadership are powerful tools for success. This profession beautifully merges my love for fashion with my natural inclination for people development, allowing me to bring positive change to others’ lives.

In 2023, my dream took shape as Mridul Soparkar – Enhancing You.” Since then, we’ve had the privilege of touching the lives of 4,000+ individuals, conducting impactful trainings across corporates, colleges, and schools, and participating in 10+ CSR initiatives.

Our programs focus on Communication Skills, Global Etiquette, Confidence Building, Emotional Intelligence, Negotiation Skills, Conflict Management, Time Management, Campus to Corporate Transition, and Self-Acceptance. We also offer Personal Shopping, Wardrobe Management, Networking Skills, Dining Etiquette, and Executive Presence sessions — helping every client embody the right Attitude, Appearance, Behaviour, and Communication.

Every day brings new challenges, new people to inspire, and new opportunities to enhance lives. My mission is to help individuals grow closer to their dreams and become the best version of themselves — confident, poised, and purpose-driven.

How did you discover your passion?

I’ve always believed in the power of manifestation and the strength that comes from stepping out of your comfort zone. Leaving home at 17 was one of the most defining moments of my life — it pushed me to explore who I truly am, discover my inner strengths, and identify the areas where I could grow.

As a career-oriented woman, I’ve always been driven by curiosity and purpose — constantly seeking what truly ignites my passion. And I firmly believe that when you’re aligned with your purpose, the energy of the universe conspires to guide you toward it.

That’s exactly what happened when I discovered the world of Image Consulting and Soft Skills Training. It felt like a perfect alignment — a field that beautifully combined my strengths in communication, leadership, and elegance with my passion for fashion, transformation, and helping others become their best selves.

This path resonated deeply with the woman I am and the woman I’ve always aspired to be — poised, purposeful, and passionate about creating change. Today, every step I take in this journey reaffirms my belief that when you trust your path, the universe truly works with you.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

One of my strongest beliefs is to never give up. When life gets tough, when the path ahead seems uncertain, and when there’s no silver lining in sight — I remind myself to keep going. Because there always comes a day when you look back and realise how every challenge was shaping you for something greater.

It’s easy to quit, but it takes real strength to persevere. And I’ve always loved challenges — they’ve taught me resilience, patience, and courage. I’m not someone who runs away from tough situations; I’ve learned to face them head-on and grow through them.

My second core belief is in the power of the universe. I truly trust that the universe always has my best interests at heart. Even when things don’t seem to be going right, I believe there’s a reason behind it — a lesson, a redirection, or preparation for something better ahead. It might not make sense in the moment, but eventually, everything aligns perfectly.

So I choose patience, faith, and persistence — to keep doing the work, to stay grounded, and to trust that every experience is leading me toward my higher purpose.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

Self-belief is the highest form of faith. Have complete faith in yourself — in your abilities, your potential, and your journey. Because if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will.

Confidence is not something you’re always born with — it’s something you build. It’s self-taught, shaped through experiences, failures, and growth. Once you learn to be confident in who you are, there’s no going back. It’s a continuous process, one you must nurture every single day.

Networking is the key to success. Whether you’re building a career or a business, the right network opens doors to opportunities, collaborations, and growth. But impactful networking begins with creating a strong first impression — one that reflects authenticity, confidence, and respect. The way you present yourself sets the tone for every relationship you build.

These are the principles I live by — and the same ones I instil in my clients. Through my training sessions and one-on-one programs, I’ve helped individuals completely transform their mindset, confidence, and personal presence — turning their worlds a full 180 degrees toward growth, self-assurance, and success.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

There is no success without vision. If you can’t see yourself achieving something, you’ll never reach it. Your vision fuels your determination — it gives purpose to your hard work. And there’s truly no substitute for hard work.

Along the way, you’ll meet people who may doubt you, criticise you, or try to pull you down. But remember — people’s opinions don’t define you. Only your opinion of yourself does. You are the only one who truly knows your potential, your story, and your truth. It’s you, and only you, who can push yourself forward and rise above challenges.

I also deeply believe in the power of manifestation and gratitude. They are your biggest assets. Visualise the life you want, feel thankful for the life you already have, and do it every single day. When you combine vision, hard work, belief, and gratitude, the universe has no choice but to work in your favour.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

Get your hands dirty — this is the right age and stage of your life to do it. Say yes to opportunities, take on challenges, and be a part of everything that comes your way. Explore fearlessly. You never know what new skills, interests, or strengths you might discover about yourself.

Never say “no” to any kind of work within your field of interest. Every experience, no matter how small, teaches you something valuable and adds to your professional journey.

And remember — dress with intention. Every morning, ask yourself: “What message do I want to give out to the world today?” Choose your colours, fits, and styles to align with that message. How you present yourself is an extension of your confidence and mindset.

These are exactly the lessons I emphasise in my ‘Campus to Corporate’ sessions with college students, young professionals, and entrepreneurs. Because success isn’t just about what you know — it’s also about how you show up, how you communicate, and how you carry yourself into every room you walk into.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?

Every day is a new day — a new challenge, a new person to meet, a new perspective to embrace. No two days are ever the same, and that’s what keeps my mind alive and my energy flowing. This constant evolution fuels my creativity, purpose, and passion for what I do.

After every training session, when I see that spark of realisation in my client’s eyes — the glow of confidence, the renewed faith in themselves, and the clarity of their vision — that’s the most fulfilling moment for me. Watching people transform, witnessing them rediscover their strengths and step closer to their dreams, is truly magical.

The gratitude, love, and warmth that flow from those moments remind me why I do what I do. It brings me immense happiness and satisfaction to know that I’m contributing, even in a small way, to helping others become the best version of themselves — confident, capable, and ready to shine.
